Required Field Engineer in India (Chennai) - Relocation

The field engineer is the connecting link between us and our customers, the car manufacturer (OEM) and the integration partner (Tier 1). As such, the field engineer provides the first line of technical support, analysis, and integration in the development of next-generation semi-autonomous driving systems.
What will you do?
The field engineer will relocate abroad and work alongside the development teams of a leading international automotive company. The field engineer will Be the liaison between us and the customer and hold a key role in our development projects providing the customer with direct technical support. As such, the field engineer will have an influence on the design and application of advanced vision based semi-autonomous driving systems, eventually installed in millions of cars worldwide.
What will your job look like:
Installing various systems on evaluation and development vehicles.
Performing and supervising test drives on an open road and test tracks.
Testing performance and quality of the vision system.
Supporting system integration efforts with deep "bits and bytes" understanding of the entire system.
Providing expert support and training for the engineering teams on site.
The position includes office work, support at vehicle production lines and integration facilities.
Tasks also include long test drives travel in india and additional countries.
Crisis management.
Ability to understand the entire system and solve the customer problems.
Working with high ranked managers from both T1 and OEM sides.
The position requires a training period of 2-3 months in Jerusalem.
Requirements: Willingness to relocate abroad for a significant period (minimum 2 years).
Willing to travel as needed.
B.Sc. in Electrical engineering /exact science or similar field.
4 years experience of application engineering
Great interpersonal skills, customer facing.
Background in hardware or software testing - an advantage.
Background in working with customers on site, India customers - an advantage.
Willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
Independent, self-disciplined, and self-contained.
Highly motivated and self-management skills.
Valid driving license.
Fluent in English and Hebrew.
