Responsibilities:

* Design, model, and layout silicon photonic circuits and components.
* Recruiting, training, and leading a team of photonics design engineers to success.
* Focus on design for manufacturability; determine the performance impact across process corners, and thermal environment.
* Perform full-parametric and scripted simulations to determine novel design improvements.
* Work with the photonics test team in defining requirements for device characterization, debugging, and validation.
* Analysis of measurement data sets to determine device performance trends and include learnings in your designs and models.

to join our CTO team.
Job description:
Work on the development of novel integrated photonic devices for optical interconnect and sensing applications. Including physical models, simulations, and analysis.
Conduct chip layout circuit design, circuit checking, and device evaluation and characterization.
Perform prototype construction and checkout.
Develop measurement methodology and apparatus to test and characterize the fabricated devices and perform experiments to demonstrate their ability in various potential applications
Engage in component benchmarking against alternative approaches and contribute with innovative device designs
Close cooperation with academic research groups.
