Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated part time student consultant to join GE Vernovas AI research team in Herzliya.
As part of a globally research team, you will contribute to the development of state-of-the-art multi-modal AI solutions for robotics and industrial inspection. The work involves leveraging vision-language models (VLMs), large language models (LLMs), and modern deep learning techniques to enable intelligent automation in complex industrial environments.
Responsibilities
Conduct research and development in multi-modal AI for robotics and industrial inspection
Design and implement models combining vision, language, and sensor data
Develop and evaluate deep learning models using modern frameworks
Contribute to experimental design, prototyping, and performance analysis
Stay up to date with the latest advances in AI, robotics, and industrial automation
Requirements: Required Qualifications
o Currently pursuing an MSc. or Ph.D. degree in: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,Applied Mathematics or a related field
background in:
o Computer vision
o Multi-modal AI / vision-language models
Proficiency in Python programming
Hands-on experience with modern deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch)
Strong software development and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills in English
Ability and willingness to collaborate in a global, cross-site environment
Availability to work approximately 50% position (part-time)

Experience with:

Familiarity with deploying or optimizing AI models for real-world systems
