Work together with the other RSY permit & environmental specialist to prioritize permits/ actions/sharing responsibilities in accordance with the project schedule and/or as prioritized by the EPC/ RSY management team.
Together with Rail Systems design managers, resolve blockages and concerns raised by external approval entities and convey the information in a timely and clear manner back to the permit permissions team.
Together with EPC, CJV & the designers and manager of Temporary Traffic Arrangements (TTA) , ensure RSY contribution to all necessary permits, consents and authorizations are coordinated with an approved traffic plan. Note: approval of the TTAs and the Traffic Management Plan are the responsibility of the Temporary Traffic Arrangements manager.
.Liaise, on a case-by-case basis with external approval entities, CJV, EPC to ensure that blockages based on the design are clear and there is no technical reason that a permission can be received.
Identify and explain to the Chief Engineer or member of the EPC management team any reasons, beyond technical, that are preventing a permit permission from being received.
Maintain clear, concise and professional records of all meetings attended including proper documentation of deliverables and schedules for task completion.
Requirements: Main Required Competencies
At least 8 years of project management experience;
At least 5 years of experience in permitting buildings and facilities;
Preference to candidates with the following:
Understanding of VATAL and its processes
Engineering, Environmental or Law degree
Competencies & Skills
High Interpersonal,
Communication and negotiation skills
Leadership and engineering team management skills
Technical risk assessment and costs evaluation of a solution.
