We are hiring a Construction & Logistics Lead for Civils and Tunnel works to join the METAV team which has a key role in the design and planning of the entire metro network across all disciplines. This is a unique opportunity to deliver a major project across all phases: design, construction until operation.
About the Role
You will be joining the Engineering Control team for the Jerusalem Blue Line LRT project, but it is expected you will work across the V cycle to encompass Desgin, installation, Testing and Commissioning and reliability demonstration phases.
You will be responsible for the coordination and supervision of all interfaces & Integration-related work, services, tasks, activities, and actions required to be performed on the BL Common Junctions. You will be able to work autonomously and within a fast-paced environment in direct contact with Principal Railway Contractor stakeholders.
You will be called to robustly challenge designs, monitor compliance and adherence to requirements across all project stages, and track and report progress and risks on a systematic basis.
What do we need from you
Key Accountabilities:
Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Own the Common Junctions engagement strategy and planning for and on behalf of the State to enable the Principal Contractors to work seamlessly together
Be a focal point for the Common Junctions specifically and other assigned work packages / lots as directed both inside and outside
Monitor the Project company to develop and deliver an integrative approach on the Common Junctions that complies with the Contract requirements across all stages
Coordinate with all key stakeholders to ensure project integration requirements are fully captured and addressed / managed
Attend integration and interface related meetings with designers, contractors and designated interfacing stakeholders
Ensure documentation and deliverables received from the Principal Contractors meet the relevant requirements and standards
Challenge Principal Contractors on a daily basis
Report progress to the Client and the Integration Manager as required
Coordinate stakeholder engagement and integration to achieve programme objectives for the benefit of the Client
Dimensions of the job:
Provides a controlling technical role on medium size, average complex projects in single discipline capacity or smaller size, highly complex multi-disciplinary projects without supervision
Can coordinate small teams of single (own) discipline engineers and technicians of between 1-5 people
A fluent communicator that can empathise and collaborate effectively with a wide group of project stakeholders.
Requirements: Fill in providing a reasonable amount of detail (5 bullet points on average):
Degree in engineering
Full literacy in technical drawings and reports at various project stage levels
Previous experience in multi-disciplinary works / projects rail is a must (at least one modern tramway project) with specific experience in system integration (incl. both trackside and onboard systems) across the full project lifecycle
Previous experience working with CSD drawings and federated BIM models (advantage).
Key Qualifications:
An exceptionally fluent communicator in English (written and spoken)
Hebrew speaker (preferred)
Well organized and self-motivated
Mastering Excel and MS Office package as a minimum
Very good knowledge of AutoCAD
Previous knowledge of Mezzoteam workspace (advantage)
Middle East experience (advantage).
