Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and implement reconstruction algorithms and software tools in C++ within parallel CPU/GPU environments.
Collaborate with algorithm engineers and scientists to understand mathematical and physical algorithms and translate them into robust software solutions.
Contribute to the architecture and design of complex software components.
Collaborate with software teams to define interfaces between the reconstruction environment and other software subsystems.
Analyze and optimize software performance, runtime, and memory usage.
Write software requirements, design documents, and technical specifications.
Design and execute software unit tests.
Support the Verification & Validation team in defining and executing system testing plans.
Support technical investigations and field-related issues as needed.
Participate in code reviews and technical reviews.
Maintain configuration management and control of generated code.

Design and implement scalable systems, ranking formulations, ML scorers, and prompt/signal augmentations to improve input ranking and end-to-end context selection for AIO and AIM.

As a Software Development Engineer in Test on our team, you will own the quality of Nitro card embedded software and firmware. You will collaborate closely with firmware development teams to troubleshoot complex system-level problems at the hardware-software boundary and ensure timely delivery of high-quality Nitro card software to AWS Cloud solutions.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the firmware test automation framework - architect, develop, and extend a Python-based validation solution that scales across multiple Nitro card generations and hardware platforms, automating test coverage across the full firmware stack from boot sequences through board management layers and card-level system integration.
- Design and implement traceable, specification-driven test cases that validate firmware functional correctness, fault tolerance, and performance across hardware components, communication interfaces, and cross-subsystem interactions.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines by integrating pre-merge and post-merge firmware validation, defining trigger policies per hardware generation, enforcing coding-standard compliance, and reducing commit-to-validated cycle time.

A day in the life
You start your morning reviewing overnight CI results and triaging any firmware validation failures flagged across active Nitro card generations. Mid-morning, you pair with a firmware engineer to debug a boot-sequence regression discovered during pre-merge testing, using hardware-in-the-loop test benches and system traces. After lunch, you join a design review for a next-generation Nitro card, providing input on testability and proposing validation strategies for new subsystem interfaces. Later, you refine your test framework to improve coverage for a recently released feature, then wrap up by sharing your findings in a team knowledge-sharing session.

The Labs Security Team secures the firmware at the foundation of our custom silicon. We work on Graviton processors and the Nitro System - hardware that runs a substantial share of the world's cloud workloads - in close collaboration with the silicon architects and firmware developers who design it. Our engineers operate at the lowest levels of the stack: secure boot chains, hardware root of trust, attestation, cryptographic protocol design, and the boundaries between trust domains within the system.

Key job responsibilities
As a Security Engineer, you will threat model new silicon and firmware architectures, conduct low-level penetration testing against privileged and externally reachable interfaces, review designs and code across multiple firmware components, and build the fuzzing and analysis tooling that makes this work repeatable at silicon scale. You will also help raise the security bar across the wider organization through direct engagement with firmware and hardware teams. About the role:

We build a real-time GNSS and SDR signal processing system that runs on embedded GPU platforms.

Algorithms and hardware interfaces are written in C++ and CUDA. Infrastructure is written in Rust.

The team is small. Every engineer owns large parts of the system, from design to production.

Responsibilities
Design and build fast, reliable software for real-time signal processing.
Turn research algorithms (GNSS, signal processing, geospatial) into efficient production code.
Write and tune GPU kernels, and keep the GPU busy with work sent asynchronously from the host.
Build and improve the infrastructure the team relies on: build system, testing, CI, tooling.
Work closely with hardware, research, and product teams.
