You and your team will work primarily with dbt, BigQuery, Looker, and GitHub, while using AI-enabled tools such as Cursor, MCP integrations, n8n, and OpenClaw to automate workflows and scale how the team works.

Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and develop a team of Data Analysts, including setting goals, providing feedback, and supporting their professional growth.
Own the teams priorities and analytical roadmap, ensuring the team focuses on the highest-impact business needs.
Define and drive technical and analytical standards across data modeling, SQL, dbt, testing, code reviews, and BI.
Partner with stakeholders and senior leadership to understand business needs, define KPIs, and translate data into actionable recommendations.
Lead high-impact analyses and guide the development of reliable, scalable data models and Looker dashboards.
Ensure data quality and lead investigations into anomalies, tracking issues, and inconsistent metrics.
Drive AI-native ways of working by turning repeatable analyses and processes into reusable, automated workflows.
Stay hands-on with data, code, and analysis when tackling complex or high-impact problems.

As a Data Engineer, youll collaborate with top-notch engineers and data scientists to elevate our platform to the next level and deliver exceptional user experiences. Your primary focus will be on the data engineering aspects-ensuring the seamless flow of high-quality, relevant data to train and optimize content models, including GenAI foundation models, supervised fine-tuning, and more.

Youll work closely with teams across the company to ensure the availability of high-quality data from ML platforms, powering decisions across all departments. With access to petabytes of data through MySQL, Snowflake, Cassandra, S3, and other platforms, your challenge will be to ensure that this data is applied even more effectively to support business decisions, train and monitor ML models and improve our products.


Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Rapidly developing next-generation scalable, flexible, and high-performance data pipelines.

Dealing with massive textual sources to train GenAI foundation models.

Solving issues with data and data pipelines, prioritizing based on customer impact.

End-to-end ownership of data quality in our core datasets and data pipelines.

Experimenting with new tools and technologies to meet business requirements regarding performance, scaling, and data quality.

Providing tools that improve Data Quality company-wide, specifically for ML scientists.

Providing self-organizing tools that help the analytics community discover data, assess quality, explore usage, and find peers with relevant expertise.

Acting as an intermediary for problems, with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Promote and drive impactful and innovative engineering solutions

Technical, behavioral and interpersonal competence advancement via on-the-job opportunities, experimental projects, hackathons, conferences, and active community participation

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams: Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into machine learning solutions. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

As a Data Engineer, you will:
Infrastructure & Pipelines
Own and maintain our data architecture end-to-end: S3, Databricks compute and administration, pipelines, logging, and our internal tooling
Keep the platform healthy and reliable - the data we serve feeds product decisions and customer-facing AI, so correctness and uptime matter
Integrate new data sources and maintain existing ones, handling the messy realities (format changes, awkward upstream systems like NetSuite, schema drift)
Performance & Cost
Identify bottlenecks and optimize for both compute and cost - parallelize workloads, tune table and cluster settings, and keep our Databricks spend sane as we scale. We use AI coding tools heavily to move fast here, but the engineering judgment is yours
Data Access & Reliability
Build and maintain the semantic layer that exposes our data reliably and consistently to analysts and AI tools, so the same question always returns the same trustworthy answer
Implement PII handling and row- and column-level security so sensitive data stays protected everywhere it's consumed.
