Collaboration is central to the role, you will work closely with researchers, engineers, and domain experts to identify high-impact opportunities, prototype quickly, and integrate reliable AI systems into real-world products.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and iterate on LLM-powered applications, including retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, agents, and fine-tuned models tailored to unique data and workflows.
Develop agentic workflows that automate complex, multi-step tasks across research, data analysis, and engineering pipelines.
Build internal tools and assistants that empower algorithm researchers, mapping experts, and engineers to work faster and more effectively.
Evaluate and integrate the latest foundation models, frameworks, and techniques (e.g., prompt engineering, fine-tuning, tool use, multi-agent orchestration), keeping pace with rapid advances in the field.
Design robust evaluation methodologies to measure quality, reliability, and safety of LLM-based systems.
Collaborate closely with the Algorithms, Mapping, and Software teams to identify high-impact opportunities and transition prototypes into reliable, production-grade systems.

Responsibilities:
AI Agent Design & Integration:
Design and implement autonomous or semi-autonomous agents using LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, open-source models).
Work with prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and tool/plugin integrations to enable agents to interact with internal and external systems.
Build scalable agent runtimes and orchestration layers (e.g., LangChain, Semantic Kernel, ReAct-based agents).
Fullstack Product Development:
Own full-stack features end-to-end: from backend APIs and data models to React-based frontend interfaces.
Integrate AI/agent capabilities into customer-facing products with clean UX and measurable performance.
Collaborate closely with design, product, and data teams to bring ideas from concept to production.
Systems & Infrastructure:
Build and maintain backend services and pipelines that support AI agents, including vector search, embeddings, function calling, and observability.
Optimize inference flows for performance and cost, potentially using streaming, caching, or local model inference.
Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with InfoSec standards.
Experimentation & Continuous Improvement:
Rapidly prototype and iterate on new AI capabilities and user experiences.
Analyze performance and usage metrics to drive product and model improvements.
Stay up to date with the evolving AI toolchain and emerging agent architectures.

We are looking for a strong Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience to help build the core infrastructure behind our company's agentic AI system. This is not another workflow tool: we are building something new, in a category that does not really exist yet. You will work on the services, orchestration, integrations, data models, retrieval layers, guardrails, and evaluation infrastructure that let AI agents reason over enterprise context and take reliable action.
This role is deeply product-facing and infrastructure-heavy. Our customers are large enterprises that manage tens of thousands of identities, so the systems we build need to be secure, observable, reliable, and able to operate at real scale.
What You'll Do:
Build production backend services in Python that power our company's agentic AI platform.
Design and implement AI-agent orchestration, tool-calling infrastructure, workflow execution, guardrails, and evaluation loops.
Integrate with enterprise applications, identity providers, SaaS tools, and customer data sources so agents can understand context and execute tasks safely.
Build systems that ingest, model, and reason over organizational processes, permissions, policies, and internal knowledge.
Solve scale and reliability challenges for large enterprise environments with tens of thousands of identities.
Collaborate closely with product, AI, and customer-facing teams to turn ambiguous business processes into reliable automated experiences.
Own reliability, observability, performance, and security for production systems.
