We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to join our EV Solutions team.
This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining end-to-end solutions that power our payments infrastructure and electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, with the primary focus on payments. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in backend development for large-scale production systems, combined with Android development experience for building the frontend/mobile layer, enabling them to build scalable services, reusable SDKs and components, and intuitive mobile experiences.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Lead the design and development of backend services and APIs that power payment processing and EV solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and ease of integration.
Design, build, and maintain high-throughput backend services using Node.js - including queueing and caching layers - for production-scale payment and EV systems.
Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin as the frontend/mobile layer for payments and EV features.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Backend, Mobile, Product, and QA) to define and deliver new features across the payments and EV ecosystem.
Take ownership of features throughout the entire development lifecycle, from design and implementation to deployment and production support.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior developers, fostering best practices in coding, design patterns, and architectural decisions.
Debug, optimize, and maintain existing backend services, SDKs, mobile applications, and UI components to ensure seamless functionality and high-quality performance at scale.
Requirements: What Makes You a Great Fit:
Hands-on production experience with BOTH backend development using Node.js AND Android development using Kotlin is mandatory.
5+ years of software development experience in production environments - MUST.
Strong hands-on experience building backend services, microservices, and RESTful APIs using Node.js - MUST.
Strong hands-on experience developing Android applications using Kotlin - MUST.
Experience building reusable Android SDKs, libraries, and modular Android components - MUST.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to improve development productivity and code quality - MUST.
Experience designing and implementing scalable software architectures for high-throughput, mission-critical production systems.
Experience with queueing technologies (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, or similar).
Experience with Redis or similar in-memory data stores/caching technologies.
Experience with AWS cloud services and containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS, or similar).
Experience working with databases and distributed systems.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and Agile metho-dologies.
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, performance optimization, and responsive design for Android applications.
Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with EV charging standards or IoT ecosystems - Big Advantage
Experience with payment gateways, PCI compliance, or fintech/transactional systems.
Experience building products or systems from scratch (0-to-1).
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
