Responsibilities:

* Design, develop, and maintain Core backend services in C++ on Linux.
* Develop and optimize high-scale I/O flows, metadata management, persistence layers, and storage-related data paths.
* Maintain and optimize databases, caching, and configuration-management solutions for clustered environments.
* Develop infrastructure that serves user requests and integrates with higher-level system components.
* Investigate and resolve complex production issues while improving performance, scalability, stability, and resource efficiency.
* Collaborate closely with developers, architects, QA engineers, and product teams throughout the development lifecycle.

The Support Development Team builds and maintains internal applications that help Support Engineers work more effectively - automating repetitive tasks, streamlining workflows, and translating operational challenges into scalable technical solutions. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will own tools end-to-end, working closely with Support teams to understand their needs and deliver impactful solutions. The team's primary language is Python, with Go used on selected projects, Kubernetes-based infrastructure, and occasional frontend work in NextJS.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain Python-based tools that enhance the efficiency and workflow of Support Engineers
* Work directly with Support Engineers to understand their challenges and translate them into actionable technical solutions
* Identify and integrate improvements into the existing tool ecosystem, continuously seeking modernization opportunities
* Troubleshoot tool-related issues and ensure minimal downtime for internal users
* Write and maintain clear documentation to support scalability, onboarding, and knowledge sharing

In this role, you will be responsible for driving test development and infrastructure of an enterprise-grade, distributed storage system and build automated test suites.

Responsibilities:

* Develop complex test scenarios and tools using our massive infrastructure in Python
* Build and design infrastructures, tools and utilities
* Take an active role in product architecture and design decisions
* Participate in all stages of the development process - from design to delivery
* Design test plans for large and complex features in the product
* Investigate and solve hard-to-find problems such as race conditions, delicate timing issues and problems happening only at large scales or high performance
