You'll work closely with product teams and stakeholders across the company on the full breadth of a regulated payment company's legal work. The role spans commercial and vendor ecosystem and privacy across the full data lifecycle, alongside practical, day-to-day counsel to teams throughout the company. You will join structured, well-established workflows, with genuine responsibility from day one.
What You'll Do:
Draft, review, and support the negotiation of commercial agreements, including service and vendor agreements, partnership agreements, data processing agreements (DPAs), and NDAs, protecting interests while enabling business growth.
Take an active role in the vendor lifecycle: onboarding and risk classification of new vendors, and implementation of SLAs and periodic controls.
Support privacy framework: readiness for evolving Israeli and international data protection requirements, privacy review of new products and features, and ongoing governance of the company's data assets.
Provide day-to-day counsel to teams across the company, with an emphasis on compliance and customer service, and support regulatory reporting framework.
Handle the legal aspects of fraud events and third-party matters, including official and regulatory inquiries and formal legal correspondence.
Build and continuously develop the Legal team's knowledge infrastructure: templates, playbooks, and internal policies designed to scale with growth.
Requirements:
LLB and admission to the Israel Bar Association.
Up to 2 years of post-qualification experience, with practical exposure to commercial and/or privacy work during internship or practice, in-house at a technology company or in the commercial department of a leading law firm.
Strong drafting skills and experience supporting contract work with vendors, customers, or partners.
Full professional fluency in Hebrew and English, including precise legal drafting in both.
A business-oriented approach: the ability to translate legal risk into clear, actionable recommendations.
The ability to translate legal processes and requirements into practical, accessible guidance for non-legal teams across the company.
Independence, organization, and initiative: comfortable managing multiple matters in parallel and following each one through to completion.
Strong interpersonal skills: a collaborative colleague who communicates effectively with stakeholders at every level.
Advantages:
Familiarity with Israeli privacy and data protection law (the Privacy Protection Law and the Data Security Regulations) and/or the GDPR.
Exposure to financial regulation, such as payment services law, the regulation of payment companies in Israel and abroad (PSPs, EMIs), Israel Securities Authority regulation, or AML/CFT.
Experience with vendor onboarding, DPAs, or third-party risk management.
Comfort working with AI tools to enhance legal work, and the judgment to know when not to trust them.
