The position of an experimental physicist includes hands-on involvement in the development of our first-generation industrial machine. An experimental physicist is expected to be an experienced physicist who brings deep physical understanding, wide technological knowledge, enthusiasm, and commitment to the development process, working in tight collaboration with other development disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Gaining knowledge and understanding of the machine's inner workings and driving physical principles, attaining a holistic view of the casting process and the machine.
Detecting, characterizing, understanding, and solving unpredicted challenges.
Devising and implementing novel solutions.
Designing, performing, and analyzing on-tool experiments.
Requirements: PhD in physics or a highly experienced MSc physicist
Experience in hardware-oriented industrial R&D
Knowledge in in material science and physical chemistry - advantage
