This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader who combines deep technical SEO expertise with a strong understanding of how search is evolving beyond traditional rankings into AI-powered discovery experiences. The ideal candidate is an experienced SEO and organic growth leader with a strong background in large-scale platforms or marketplaces, and a proven ability to operate in fast-moving, cross-functional environments. The SEO team leader will lead a team of SEO specialists while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, Content, and Marketing to build scalable processes, shape roadmaps, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and connect organic growth efforts directly to business performance. In this position, you must be highly data -driven, deeply technical, and fluent in both classic SEO and emerging Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), including visibility across AI search experiences such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and other LLM-powered discovery surfaces.


What am I going to do?:

* Manage and lead the core SEO team, setting strategy and direction to improve organic search performance, AI-search discoverability, and measurable business outcomes across our marketplace.
* Own our SEO roadmap across technical SEO, on-site SEO, international SEO, and Generative Engine Optimization, ensuring the company is well-positioned for the future of search.
* Lead hands-on technical SEO initiatives at scale, including JavaScript SEO, crawlability, rendering, indexation, internal linking, structured data, Core Web Vitals, site architecture, and technical migrations.
* Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure SEO requirements and recommendations are properly prioritized, implemented, and Embedded into platform capabilities and release processes.
* Measure, analyze, and communicate the impact of SEO and GEO initiatives using clear business metrics, translating organic growth work into marketplace and company value.
* Stay ahead of industry developments across SEO, technical search infrastructure, search engine algorithm changes, and AI-powered search experiences, while continuously raising the knowledge level of the team and broader organization.

Requirements:
* 5+ years of SEO leadership experience in an international marketplace, e-commerce company, or complex digital product/platform, ideally with strong exposure to US and global markets.
* Proven experience leading SEO in large-scale, complex web environments, including marketplaces or platforms with heavy cross-functional dependencies.
* Strong understanding of how search is evolving beyond traditional Google rankings, including AI Overviews, LLM-driven discovery, and Generative Engine Optimization across platforms such as ChatGPT and other AI-powered search experiences.
* Strong Hands-On technical SEO expertise at scale, including JavaScript SEO, Core Web Vitals, crawl and indexation management, site architecture, structured data, and technical migrations.
* Highly analytical and deeply data -driven, with the ability to connect SEO initiatives to business KPIs such as traffic quality, conversion, revenue impact
