Overall responsibility for complete the HV-Equipment Scope of the HVDC project
Overall Technical responsibility for the preparation of equipment specifications, check of test plans, and optimization of the equipment construction under consideration of the special requirements for HVDC and Grid Access plants
Mentoring/Training of team members on technical topics related to Component engineering and HVDC technology.
Overall responsibility for the preparation of technical and economic tender documents for high-voltage equipment. Techno-commercial support of the sales department and the project management for HV Equipment
Overall responsibility for the technical evaluation of the offers of subcontractors. Support the economic evaluation in the context of purchasing. Technical support during the search for the most suitable technical solution and qualified subcontractors
Internal project supervision (timelines, costs, quality)
Preparation and active participation of technical decisions in arrangement with the project manager and technical project manager
Regular sub-project reports, regular meetings about project progress, constant monitoring of project milestones
Identification and evaluation of project-oriented risks and opportunities. Working out suggestions to minimize possible risks, recognizing benefits and opportunities.
Requirements: We dont need superheroes, just super minds.
Knowledge acquired in 6 - 10 years in High Voltage Engineering or similar.
Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering or comparable
Technical Skills:
Having a technical overview of Power System studies tools, and requirement analysis to support the component team in completing the Systems department activities in budget.
Extensive experience with any of the following: HV measuring components, HV transmission transformers, HV switchgear, HV Reactors/Resistors/Capacitors
Solid Understanding of HVDC technologies, main circuit parameters calculation, Insulation coordination, Transient stress, and fault scenarios. Should be able to mentor junior members of the team.
Solid Understanding of HVDC and/or FACTS technologies
Deep Knowledge about and Experience with Testing Techniques of HV components
Extensive Experience in understanding and managing complex customer specifications
Progress of project work, Risk analysis for the Components team in collaboration with the Basic design department and planning mitigations for them, Conducting Gate reviews.
Deep Knowledge of applicable norms and standards
Extensive Experience in tendering or execution of large turnkey projects
Key Skills:
Complete English fluency in business Communication with international stakeholders
Expert level Communication skills for clarifying requirements/solutions and resolving misunderstandings
Display qualities to become Technical Lead in the team for ongoing projects.
