What you'll be doing
Lead and grow an Android development team: You'll guide, mentor, and manage one of our Android development teams, building a strong culture of teamwork and constant improvement.
Drive architectural design: You'll lead the design and development of complex features, making sure the team produces clean, scalable, and high-quality code.
Oversee the full development cycle: This means you'll be in charge of the team's Android development efforts from start to finish, including design, actual coding, testing, and getting the product out to users.
Work closely with other teams: You'll team up with product managers, architects, DevOps, BI Engineers, and business teams to plan and carry out our clear product roadmap.
Ensure code quality: You'll regularly review code, giving helpful feedback to ensure our team sticks to best practices and high standards.
Keep us at the cutting edge: You'll stay on top of the newest trends in Android development, guiding the team to use innovative solutions and best practices that make our product better and our work more efficient.
Manage project delivery: You'll handle project schedules, resources, and priorities to make sure we hit our product milestones on time.
Boost communication: You'll make sure information and knowledge are shared effectively within your team and with other departments.
Requirements: 4+ years of experience building Android apps with Kotlin.
Experience leading Android developers, as a manager or a technical lead - a strong advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
A deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and design principles.
Familiarity with Google's design principles and interface guidelines.
Hands-on experience with multithreading, mobile memory management, and working with RESTful APIs.
A solid grasp of Jetpack components like ViewModel, Room, Coroutines, and WorkManager.
