We are looking for an experienced hardware-oriented technical writer to join our ranks, mainly (but not only) for documenting:
You should have a strong affinity with hardware, experience with CAD software and visual documentation, together with self-drive, a matching personality for working with SMEs and in a team, time management skills, and strong self-discipline. You will be reporting to the documentation team lead.
Our customers require standard PDF documents rather than an online knowledge center, so be ready to work in the traditional cover-to-cover document mindset. With that said, new delivery methods could be adopted in the future.
Requirements: To match our requirements, you must have:
Excellent native-level command of both English and Hebrew (written and spoken). Any additional language is a plus.
At least 7 years of relevant experience, with relevant work samples.
Experience working with hardware support teams, or with support teams in general.
High ability to write accurately, clearly, and visually. Experience with presentations and training collaterals is a plus.
Excellent original writing communication skills without using AI (reliance on AI is not what we are looking for).
Natural sense of logical structure and outlining, without using AI.
Experience in creating flowcharts and diagrams in MS Visio.
Experience in using styles, sections, fields, and other functions in MS Word.
Good sense of consistency in writing, and ability to adhere to the company style guide.
Good eye for small details, such as typos, hardware specifications, and torque values.
Personal ability to communicate well with different types of people and proactively/creatively obtain information or cooperation.
Openness to SME feedback, opinions, and sometimes criticism in a dynamic technical environment, with the ability to adapt and accommodate professionally and in good spirit.
Time management and multitasking skills.
Willingness to commute and work on site.
Willingness to pass a test.
Israeli citizenship for passing a security clearance check.
