The ideal candidate will have experience in these topics: high-speed testing of fiber-optic modules for telecom/datacom, lasers, and post-silicon verification. In this role, you will lead the design, Integration, and deployment of electro-optical testing platforms for SiPh. You will work closely with the R&D teams, internal verification teams, architects, FW developers, market-leading subcontractors, and other stakeholders to design systems. This role requires hands-on experience and a deep system-level multidisciplinary understanding of high-speed transceivers, as well as excellent integration, problem-solving skills, and strong communication abilities.

What youll be doing:

You will lead the design of testing setups for bringing up and testing the new SiPh transceiver chips.

Provide technical support and assistance to manufacturers of silicon photonics testing platforms.

Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to equipment, processes, and software.

Document experimental procedures, results, and findings accurately and comprehensively.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, and manufacturing, to resolve complex technical issues and implement system upgrades or modifications.

What you'll be doing:

The NPI engineer will work alongside with R&D BU, finance, engineering and various multi-functional teams, leading NPI products from am operational perspective
Work with our partners worldwide to establish a supply chain incorporating business, manufacturing, technology, Engineering, quality, and additional aspects to assure design acceptance and manufacturability
Identify critical-paths, bottlenecks and implement risk management methodologies.
Define and lead execution to ensure delivery on schedule according to SOW and budget
Pave the way for NPI Production transition: Active participation from very early pre-design stages, highlighting needed operational related aspects while defining the infrastructure for the future transfer to production stage.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the vendors manufacturing capabilities and influence current and future product qualifications and loading decisions
Develop and implement project management methodologies and processes to improve tracking, transparency, execution, and day-to-day efficiency
Report program status to senior management.

Architectural Definition: Lead the end-to-end definition of high-speed interconnect systems for next-gen AI platforms (e.g., Rubin and beyond), focusing on 224G/448G PAM4 lanes and beyond.

Technology Roadmap: Evaluate and select pioneering technologies such as Co-Packaged Optics (CPO), Silicon Photonics, and advanced OSFP/QSFP-DD form factors.

System Co-Design: Collaborate with ASIC, Thermal, and PCB teams to optimize the "Silicon-to-Connector" path, minimizing insertion loss and improving signal integrity.

Standardization Leadership: Represent us in industry standards bodies (e.g., IEEE 802.3, OCP, MSA) to influence the future of high-speed connector and cable specifications.

Vendor Ecosystem: Work with world-class connector and cable vendors to drive custom mechanical and electrical designs that meet our unique performance requirements.

Performance Modeling: Conduct trade-off analyses between reach, power, latency, and cost for various interconnect media (Copper vs. Optical).

Drive yield improvement, and fix the failure pareto.
