BSc in computer science or equivalent (please include GPA)
Strong end-to-end ownership mindset
Proven experience and strong understanding of big data systems, including hands-on work with a variety of database technologies
Proven experience as a tech leader, including mentoring and guiding of others
Production systems experience
Product driven and business oriented
Strong analytical skills
Fearlessness to dive into what you dont know
Passion for solving complex scaling challenge
Willing to work intensively to gain fast results in an unknown field
High self-learning abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
Bonus points if you have:
Experienced developing large scale distributed systems, Experienced with Web/JS, Experienced with Kafka / Docker / K8S, Experienced with NoSQL and big data distributed DB (Vertica / Cassandra / ES / BQ) Experienced with Spark / HDFS.
