As a Product Design Lead , you'll be the driving force behind our user experience across all product touchpoints. You will own the complete design function, working closely with product managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to create intuitive, data-driven design solutions that enhance our travel booking platform. This role requires a strong foundation in UI/UX design, user research methodologies, and the ability to balance user needs with business objectives in a fast-paced marketplace environment.
Responsibilities
Design Leadership & Strategy - Lead the end-to-end design process from user research and concept development to final implementation, establishing design systems and standards across all products.
User-Centered Design - Conduct user research, create personas and journey maps, and design wireframes through high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile platforms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into compelling user experiences while ensuring design feasibility and brand consistency.
Data-Driven Design - Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform and validate design decisions, developing KPIs and iterating based on real-world user feedback and conversion data.
Promote Design Thinking - Advocate for the user and build strong narratives that communicate design rationale clearly to diverse stakeholders across all organizational levels.
Design Operations - Manage design project timelines, establish efficient workflows with cross-functional teams, and maintain comprehensive design documentation and asset libraries.
Requirements: 6+ years of UI/UX design experience in marketplace, e-commerce, or travel industry with proven track record of leading design processes and facilitating design strategies
A strong portfolio that demonstrates excellence in UX/UI design for complex, multi-platform digital products (web + mobile, with mobile-first approach).
Strong user research and data analysis skills with ability to conduct usability testing and derive actionable insights from user behavior data
Cross-functional collaboration experience with proven ability to work independently while partnering effectively with engineering, product, and business teams
Proficiency in Figma and an understanding of design systems, responsive design principles, and design handoff processes
Excellent communication skills with experience presenting design decisions to stakeholders and building strong narratives around design rationale
Experience with AI-driven design workflows and processes, with additional advantage given to candidates who have designed AI-powered product features.
