What you'll be doing:
Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient systems that handle high-volume data, while collaborating with teammates and individual contributors at Forter
Take ownership of projects, from concept to production, ensuring the highest quality
Work on data-driven initiatives that improve system performance, efficiency, and billing accuracy
Work with Product Managers to define features and scope, guiding technical decisions and trade-offs, to align with company goals.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will:
Develop and maintain policies and procedures for software development, deployment, and maintenance. Monitor cloud environments using infrastructure as code methodologies
Work closely with other teams, such as development and operations, to ensure that our software applications meet the needs of the organization.
Participate actively in code reviews to uphold high standards of quality and maintainability in software development
Work collaboratively with product teams to design and implement new cloud services and workflows, contributing to the continuous improvement of our platform

About the position
Our engineering team is made of strong, all-around players. We work across the full lifecycle of our solutions from researching capabilities in GCP, Azure, and AWS to building and testing systems in Go and deploying them in client environments. We develop solutions for API-capable platforms, integrate with third-party services, and extend them with our own add-ons. What the Infra Engineering team does
The team was created to support engineering growth and build a platform for product teams, so they could ship business value faster. is at a very unique position because we are big enough that we need the platform but we are young enough to not have it yet. There is a dedicated DevOps team and they take care of the infrastructure, while we work on the edge between DevOps and engineering enforcing standards and best practices, creating tooling, maintaining internal libraries, providing architectural guidance and owning some high-loaded core services, responding to production incidents when needed. Its 70% Engineering and 30% DevOps. We have a lot of freedom, but it comes with responsibility.

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a minimum of 5-6 years of hands-on experience to join our development team. As a Backend Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust solutions for our suite of products, as part of the team responsible for the heart of our technology stack. Implement and maintain database schemas, queries, and optimizations using PostgreSQL.
