Our Hyper-Scan Fiber-Sensing technology, combined with advanced Machine Learning, empowers utility operators to achieve environmental and renewable energy goals while maintaining operational excellence on their path to net-zero emissions. Founded in 2017, with offices in the U.S., Europe, and Israel (HQ), Prisma Photonics is led by an expert team with a proven track record in building and scaling successful companies within the lasers and deep-tech sectors. We are seeking a leader for the Physics team, who likes to see the whole picture, to take part in developing the core technology for our fiber-sensing platform. The Physics team leader will report to the VP R&D. What Youll Do
* Own and lead the development of our next-generation fiber-sensing systems, driving innovation from concept through production.
* Manage and grow a multidisciplinary team of physicists, providing technical mentorship and day-to-day leadership.
* Oversee cross-functional hardware development, including: optical system design and integration, electrical board design, thermal design of enclosures and components.
* Lead system -level architecture decisions, integrating optical, mechanical, electrical, and computational elements to deliver reliable, high-performance systems.
* Balance leadership with hands-on contribution approximately 50% of the role will involve technical, hands-on R&D work.
* Collaborate closely with algorithm, software, and field engineering teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of hardware in real-world environments.
* Drive research initiatives for new sensing capabilities, pushing the limits of whats possible with fiber-based technology.
* Act as a key voice in technology strategy, contributing to long-term vision and roadmap.

Requirements:
What You Bring
* Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Experimental Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in lasers, optical communication, fiber lasers, or complex electro-optical systems.
* Proven experience in leading high-performing technical team and delivering successful hardware projects to production.
* Deep understanding of physical system design and integration, especially optical systems.
* Track record of delivering production-grade hardware, including enclosures and computing components.
* Strong interdisciplinary mindsetable to navigate physics, engineering, and software.
* Creative, problem solver with a practical, execution-oriented approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.

Technical Program Manager, Silicon Engineer

Youll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
As a Technical Program Manager for Silicon Development, you will use your technical and management experience to lead the development and execution of complex, multidisciplinary SoC projects. You will plan programs and manage their execution from early concepts through development to tape-out and production. You will collaborate closely with architecture, design, verification, physical implementation and manufacturing teams throughout the SoC execution life cycle. This includes making technical decisions for the chip designs and methodology, driving project schedules, identifying risks and communicating them to all stakeholders, and managing partner teams.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at our company designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all our company services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and our company Cloud. Our end users are our companyrs, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use our company services around the world.

Our global impact spans software and hardware, including our company Clouds Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and deliver custom silicon products.
Assess complexity and scope out the project, generate task lists, build a project timeline and work with the teams to make it into reality.
Lead the data-driven schedules and milestones, track the progress, proactively identify potential future issues, and identify mitigations with the team leaders.
Drive technical, budgetary, and schedule trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams.
Manage project execution and issues through design, development, test, manufacturing, deployment and sustaining activities for silicon and hardware products.

Requirements:
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in program management.
Experience in program management on technical cross-functional projects.
Experience in one or more areas like architecture, design, verification, implementation, or validation with seven or more cycles of chip development.
Experience in leading, developing and growing teams.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, or in a related technical field.
Experience as an engineer or manager in developing hardware or software systems around the chips.
Experience with two or more chip cycles in a project management role with execution within resource and schedule constraints.
Knowledge of data centers and cloud markets, technological and business trends, requirements, and ecosystem partners.
Ability to motivate and focus a large collaboration to reach goals.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
