We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Network Orchestration group. Our group is responsible for developing scalable, high-performance distributed systems that support complex network infrastructures.
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend infrastructure that supports multiple teams and projects across the company. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs, build scalable services, and contribute to architectural decisions that impact the long-term success of the platform.

Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain scalable and reliable backend services that support multiple teams and projects.
Design and implement robust APIs with a focus on performance, security, and scalability.
Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate authentication, authorization, logging, and observability into backend systems.
Contribute to the architecture, design, and evolution of the platforms core services.
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery mechanisms are in place.
Optimize database performance and scalability for SQL and NoSQL databases.
Implement and enforce best practices for API security, authentication, and data integrity.
Work with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for backend services.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, security vulnerabilities, and production incidents.
Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and advocate for improvements where necessary.
Requirements: Requirements:
Technical Expertise 5+ years of experience in backend development, strong proficiency in Node.js.
Distributed Systems & Microservices Experience with event-driven architectures, scalable distributed systems, and cloud-native infrastructure.
Cloud & Kubernetes: Familiarity with Kubernetes (k8s) and cloud-native infrastructure.
Databases Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).
Messaging Systems Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or similar message brokers.
Security Awareness Familiarity with secure coding practices, TLS, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and authentication mechanisms.
API Design Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Logging & Observability Experience with logging frameworks (ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, etc.).
CI/CD & DevOps Experience working with automated deployment pipelines and infrastructure as code.
Cross-Team Collaboration Ability to work with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality platform solutions.
Problem-Solving Mindset Strong debugging, optimization, and troubleshooting skills.
Nice to Have:
Familiarity with Nx platform for monorepo management.
Experience with Cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
Familiarity with backend performance optimization techniques.
Education And/or Relevant Experience:
BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent hands-on experience in software development
