We are looking for an experienced Integration Engineer to join our MIS Platform Team and own Workato as a core automation and integration platform. This individual contributor role combines hands-on building with platform ownership, complex integration architecture, governance, and enablement of MIS teams. You will partner with technical and business stakeholders to create scalable, reliable, and efficient cross-company workflows.
Job responsibilities
Own Workato as a core MIS platform, driving architecture, standards, governance, reliability, and continuous improvement.
Design, build, and maintain complex integrations and automations using Workato and modern iPaaS and AI-driven platforms.
Configure and maintain Workato integrations across enterprise systems (Legal, Product, Finance, Procurement, GTM, etc.).
Partner with MIS teams and builders to design cross-company integrations and improve existing recipes and processes.
Build monitoring, logging, testing, version control, release, and error-handling mechanisms for reliable operations.
Integrate with internal and external systems using REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, SAML, JWT, API keys, and service accounts.
Produce high-quality documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flows, technical specifications, runbooks, and platform guidelines.
Translate business needs into scalable solutions, guide best practices, troubleshoot issues, and influence efficient designs.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in automation/integration engineering or a similar role.
Hands-on experience with iPaaS platforms such as Workato, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar platforms; Workato is strongly preferred.
Experience designing and implementing integrations with business systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and other SaaS tools.
Proven ability to quickly understand complex business processes and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) concepts and Workato capabilities related to exposing or triggering recipes through MCP-compatible interfaces.
Familiarity with using AI tools and methodologies to improve development and automation workflows, including creating or improving reusable skills and agentic workflows.
Hands-on coding experience with JavaScript or Python for custom logic, data transformation, and flexible integration design.
Strong familiarity with REST APIs, webhooks, integration patterns, and authentication/authorization flows.
SQL or advanced data transformation experience.
Strategic thinking and the ability to influence and motivate teams toward efficient designs, best practices, and responsible use of platform capabilities.
Good working knowledge of Git and version control workflows.
Understanding of enterprise process frameworks such as Lead-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and HR workflows.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
