Key Responsibilities
Build and scale AI-driven data classification and detection capabilities for next-generation data security products.
Design systems that identify, classify, and protect sensitive data in real time across cloud and endpoint environments.
Lead technical design discussions and influence architecture for large-scale data processing systems.
Partner with product, infrastructure, and other engineering teams to deliver tightly integrated solutions.
Solve complex engineering challenges related to scale, performance, reliability, and operations.
Raise the technical and collaborative bar by mentoring, sharing knowledge, and improving team practices.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Cortex Platform Application team, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for designing, building, and operating critical backend platform services used across Cortex. This role is for an engineer who can combine deep platform/backend expertise with strong ownership, practical execution, and cross-team influence. You will help build scalable and reliable services, guide technical decisions, improve engineering methods, mentor engineers, and raise the quality of how the team designs, ships, documents, tests, and operates its systems. The team owns a broad set of platform capabilities, including areas such as application configuration, dashboards and reporting infrastructure, metrics, multi-tenant and MSSP infrastructure, log forwarding, notifications, auditing, access and permission engines, filtering and querying infrastructure, and other shared application platform domains. We are looking for someone who is not only strong technically, but also enjoys joining a high-performing team, taking ownership from within, and helping turn strong execution into repeatable engineering practice. Design & Scale Core Pipelines: Architect, implement, and deploy our complex, highly-scalable data processing pipeline focused on analyzing massive amounts of data.
Tackle Diverse Data Challenges: Work hands-on with vast construction data-ranging from scheduling and BIM to video processing and 3D model analysis. Architect and integrate various Computer Vision and data processing algorithms into a robust, cloud-based production environment to generate unique insights.
Ensure Performance: Maintain a relentless focus on performance, reliability, and scalability as you process data from real-world construction sites globally.
Tech Stack Focus: Develop primarily using Python in a modern cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
