Required Senior Product Security Architect
As a Product Security Architect, you will shape how security is built, not just review it. Shape security architecture where it matters most, partner with engineers early in the design phase to influence system architecture, define secure patterns, and make critical decisions before code is written
Work hands-on with engineering teams to secure real systems review designs, dive into code and PRs when needed, and build small tools or proofs-of-concept to validate security assumptions
Lead threat modeling and deep design reviews identify trust boundaries, abuse cases, and high-impact attack paths, and ensure controls hold up in real production environments
Own security design for authentication, authorization, and APIs, including identity flows (OAuth/OIDC), session management, and multi-tenant access control.

We are hiring a senior/staff software engineer to help design and build core components of our next-generation knowledge retrieval system built for the AI era - search and retrieval infrastructure that powers high-quality, scalable, and enterprise-grade agentic systems. Youll build the framework that allows our customers to connect knowledge-synthesized from structured and unstructured data-to modern LLM-powered applications, leveraging the worlds best-in-class vector DB supporting semantic search and hybrid retrieval. This role is ideal for someone who loves backend system architecture, distributed systems, and applied AI infrastructure. Responsibilities:

Design and build scalable platform components leveraging advanced retrieval via query planning, semantic and hybrid search, metadata-aware search, and LLM generation

Design and build optimized indexing pipelines for structured and unstructured data

Build backend services for semantic and hybrid retrieval, knowledge graph construction, and retrieval orchestration

Improve retrieval quality through evaluation and observability frameworks

Our CTO Lab is a small, senior team building what comes next. We sit across the entire platform - Artifactory, Xray, Curation, AppTrust, ML, AI Catalog, Fly, Runtime, Distribution - and our job is to figure out how AI changes all of it. We run focused experiments, prototype fast, demo often, and grow what works into products alongside our product and engineering groups.
This role has two modes. In Build mode, you'll work across the full breadth of the platform - from artifact management and security to ML lifecycle and developer experience. In Scout mode, you'll be our antenna - evaluating new AI frameworks as they drop, scanning for emerging patterns in agentic AI, supply chain attacks, and developer tooling, and feeding evidence into our strategic decisions.
