About the Role:
As a Senior Platform Engineer (Backend), you will play a key role in shaping the core infrastructure and architecture of our platform. Your responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test cloud-native microservices and backend components with high standards of scalability, reliability, and security
Own key areas of the platform's infrastructure and contribute to the architecture of enterprise-grade systems
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions
Work across a modern tech stack including cloud services, Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
Drive best practices in code quality, system design, observability (logs, metrics, tracing), and testing
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and help evaluate tools that support platform evolution
Share knowledge through code reviews and technical discussions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement

You'll work on distributed, high-throughput microservices systems powering visual AI testing for some of the world's largest engineering teams.
Within this role, you will be responsible for:
Designing and evolving cloud-native microservices that power large-scale distributed rendering and browser orchestration pipelines
Leading the design and delivery of mobile device infrastructure (iOS and Android) in our Execution Cloud, becoming the team's domain expert on simulators, emulators, and mobile toolchains
Owning the full software delivery lifecycle from design and development through testing, deployment, and production operations, including the underlying infrastructure
Driving continuous improvement of system reliability, scalability, and performance

Youll collaborate with backend engineers, infrastructure teams and security and cryptography researchers to ship production-grade highly secure digital signing systems, balancing cryptographic rigor, performance constraints, and distributed reliability in a domain where small mistakes have massive consequences. This includes:
Architecting, designing and implementing distributed backend services responsible for key generation, storage and lifecycle management
Developing high-assurance signing protocols and signing flows (utilizing MPC or external signing devices)
Building secure backup and disaster recovery mechanisms for cryptographic material
Hardening systems against adversarial conditions and real-world attack vectors
Optimizing performance-critical components that execute complex operations
