We are looking for an R&D Development Group Lead to manage our research and development team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end delivery of production-grade GenAI solutions that bring measurable value to thousands of developers in the company. You will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI research and practical, scalable engineering, ensuring high-quality standards at every step of the SDLC and help reshape the future of software delivery lifecycle.

What Youll Do:

Strategy & Innovation:
Define the Future of SDLC: Research and define GenAI operating models and best practices. You will champion the "AI-First" mindset, setting the standard for how AT&T integrates AI across the software lifecycle
Innovate with GenAI: Leverage technologies like Copilot, LangChain, AutoGen, and LLMs to build cutting-edge solutions and AI based automations that redefine software delivery
Drive Adoption: Architect and deliver a centralized Web-based GenAI Marketplace to provide visibility, streamline tool adoption, and showcase automation capabilities to the enterprise

Leadership & Mentorship:
Lead a High-Performing group: Manage and mentor team leaders and developers. Foster a culture of technical excellence and AI first mindset, professional growth, and rapid value delivery
Coach for Impact: Act as a technical beacon, coaching your team and others outside the group to adopt GenAI tools and methodologies effectively

Execution & Delivery:
End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for the products your teams develops-from design and architecture to deployment and ongoing maintenance
Deliver Business Value: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate customer needs into actionable roadmaps. Oversee the smooth rollout of new features that drive tangible business impact
Operational Excellence: Continuously optimize and automate the development lifecycle to improve efficiency, speed, and code quality
Requirements:
What Were Looking For:

Leadership & Management:
Proven experience (3+) leading multiple software development teams.
Strong mentorship and coaching skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Track record of successfully driving projects from concept to production, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
Excellent communication skills to align stakeholders, product managers, and team members on project goals and deliverables.

Technical Experience:
Proven experience (10+ years) in developing full-stack, production grade applications.
Hands-on experience with GenAI frameworks, models and AI tools to improve productivity.
Deep familiarity with SDLC processes, coding standards, and delivery of production-grade software.

Business & Product Orientation:
A results-driven mindset focused on delivering customer value and improving user experience.
Experience rolling out products to customers and iterating based on feedback.
Strategic thinking to anticipate market and customer needs, shaping the product roadmap.
