As a Senior Automation Architect , you will design, build, and maintain our test automation infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of availability, reliability, and quality. Youll own the testing lifecycle end-to-end, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in strengthening both product quality and the automation ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Design and architect scalable, maintainable, and modular automation frameworks for backend and frontend domains.
Define best practices, patterns, and standards for test automation architecture, ensuring long-term maintainability and reuse.
Build automation infrastructure that scales with growth integrating seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure automation systems are resilient, distributed, and optimized for speed and scalability.
Evaluate, integrate, and maintain advanced frameworks, tools, and technologies (Playwright, TypeScript, Python, Java, etc.) across multiple projects.
Drive GenAI and AI-assisted automation innovation, implementing smart agents, self-healing tests, or AI-based analysis tools.
Define and implement non-functional testing (NFT) capabilities performance, load, and reliability testing as part of the automation strategy.
Partner with developers, DevOps, and observability teams to correlate test data with production metrics and system health indicators.
Design solutions for distributed and parallel test execution, ensuring optimal performance in large-scale environments.
Conduct code and architecture reviews for automation projects to maintain technical excellence and consistency.
Mentor engineers and serve as the go-to expert for automation frameworks, scalability, and test strategy design.
Requirements: 4+ years of experience in automation engineering, with strong expertise in test framework architecture and infrastructure design.
Proven track record of building and scaling automation frameworks across multiple domains (API, web, backend).
Deep proficiency in TypeScript and frameworks such as Playwright; solid experience with Java and/or Python.
Strong understanding of CI/CD integration, Git-based workflows, and cloud-native automation (AWS, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience designing distributed or parallel test execution systems for large-scale environments.
Knowledge of non-functional testing (NFT) methodologies and tools (JMeter, Gatling, Locust, K6) with the ability to integrate NFT into broader automation strategies.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry) and performance trend analysis.
Understanding of streaming/messaging systems (MQTT, Kafka) advantage.
Experience with AI-driven or GenAI-augmented automation frameworks advantage.
Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills; capable of influencing architecture and quality direction across teams.
