At UVeye, we're on a mission to redefine vehicle safety and reliability on a global scale. Founded in 2016, we pioneered the world's first fully automated suite of AI-powered vehicle inspection systems, combining computer vision, machine learning, and generative AI. With over $380M in funding and strategic partnerships with Toyota, Amazon, General Motors, JLR, Volvo, and Hertz, our technology is deployed across manufacturing plants, dealerships, wholesale auctions, fleets, and seaports worldwide. Named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies of 2026, our 300+ global employees are solutions-oriented, accountable, and driven by one shared goal: making roads safer for everyone.
We are looking for an experienced Robotics Team Leader to define and execute UVeye’s robotics inspection strategy. Reporting into the CTO’s office, you will turn the vision of a mobile, dexterous inspection robot into a concrete product and research roadmap and build the team that delivers it.
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact
* Define UVeye’s robotics inspection strategy and translate it into a multi-quarter technical and product roadmap.
* Architect the end-to-end robotics stack, from sensing and perception to manipulation, navigation, and control.
* Build first-of-its-kind prototypes hands-on, taking ideas from whiteboard to working demos on real hardware.
* Develop and benchmark core perception and policy models on UVeye’s proprietary vehicle inspection data.
* Run rigorous on-robot experiments, close the loop between data, training, and deployment, and iterate fast.
* Hire, lead, and develop the robotics team, and stay deeply technical through design reviews and code reviews.
* Select hardware platforms, partners, and vendors, and own commercial and technical relationships with them.
* Drive integration of the robotics stack with UVeye’s existing inspection portfolio, in close partnership with R&D, MLOps, and product.
Requirements: * 8+ years of industry experience in robotics or applied AI, including 3+ years leading and growing technical teams.
* Proven track record of shipping robotics or robotic-perception products from concept to production.
* Strong technical depth in at least two of: computer vision, deep learning, manipulation, motion planning, SLAM, or robot learning.
* Experience selecting and integrating robotic hardware platforms, sensors, and compute.
* Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to align executives, engineers, and external partners.
* Experience working with simulation and large-scale real-world data collection pipelines, an advantage.
* M.Sc./Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, a strong advantage.
