Providing technical guidance and support to Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing as a Subject Matter Expert
Creating / reviewing / improving / maintaining our Component Engineering methods, processes and procedures
Reviewing Electrical custom engineering component requests to assure they meet requirements; own Components Lifecycle Management
Conducting and Reviewing component research on equivalent components (2nd Sources) to expand our AVL
Working with 3rd party OEMs, optics manufacturers, sub-assembly, and custom component manufacturers to ensure products meet quality, reliability, regulatory safety EMC compliance, and FDA requirements.
Deep experience working with distributors channels
Supporting product release processes, ensuring end-to-end BOM Quality from design to Manufacturing
Performing and reviewing BOM scrubs through the life cycle of the product
Requirements: B.Sc. in Electrical/Computer Engineering. M.Sc. - advantage
10+ years of experience as a Component Engineer in the Communication/ RF /Computer/ Networking/ high-tech industry
Hands on experience with manufacturers in North America, Europe Asia
Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and component data sheets.
Understanding of fab processes, assembly processes, design processes, materials, and associated QA and Reliability issues.
Experience in electrical component selection, derating, contract manufacturers (PCBA)
Experience creating qualification plans and obsolescence analyses
Experience in component reliability, failure analysis or Destructive Physical Analysis
Experience in collaborating with the ECAD/physical board designers.
Experience with PLM tools ( Oracle, Agile, Silicon Expert etc), MSOffice and other desktop tools
Strong communication English
