We are seeking an innovative, AI-first Technical Writer to lead, empower, and scale our technical documentation team. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Management, you will drive the vision and execution for end-to-end technical content across our enterprise product line while leveraging AI technology to automate and streamline the technical writing workflow.

What you'll do:

Drive AI Process Automation: Pioneer an AI-first culture by identifying, evaluating, and integrating AI tools and LLM workflows into the technical writing lifecycle to automate content creation, updates, and localization.
Lead & Manage: Mentor, hire, and manage a team of technical writers, fostering a collaborative, continuous-learning, and accountability-driven culture.
Strategic Alignment: Work closely with the VP of Product Management, Engineering teams, and Product Operations to ensure documentation roadmaps seamlessly align with product releases.
Quality & Governance: Establish clear standards, AI usage guidelines, and editorial processes to ensure high technical accuracy, readability, and brand consistency.
Metrics & Optimization: Define success metrics for technical content (e.g., ticket deflection, search conversion, completion rates) to continually refine content quality and operational productivity.

What Youll Do

Shape and scale best practices for technical communication
Leverage AI tools and automation to improve documentation workflows

Own end-to-end documentation for multiple product domains (typically working with 5-10 PMs simultaneously) across rapid 6-week release cycles
Create and maintain high-quality content including user guides, API docs, release notes, onboarding flows, and in-product microcopy
Leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, internal automation workflows) to streamline writing, editing, research, and documentation operations
Identify opportunities to automate manual documentation workflows and continuously improve efficiency and scalability
Collaborate deeply with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable content
Participate in feature design, demos, and implementation flows to build deep product understanding
Drive documentation quality through structured authoring, review processes, and alignment with product releases

We are looking for an experienced hardware-oriented technical writer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating clear, structured, and visually rich technical documentation for hardware products. This includes working closely with hardware teams and subject matter experts to gather and validate technical information. You will produce documentation in traditional formats (PDF, end-to-end documents), aligned with customer requirements and company standards.

Responsibilites
Create and maintain technical documentation for hardware products, including 3D models, installation and deployment procedures, and maintenance guides.
Document part replacement processes and related software procedures.
Work closely with hardware teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and validate technical information.
Produce clear, structured, and visually accurate documentation aligned with company standards.
Develop diagrams and flowcharts to support technical content (e.g., using Visio).
Prepare documentation in traditional formats (PDF, end-to-end documents).
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to style guides.
Participate in collaboration, reviews, and continuous improvement of documentation processes.

We're not hiring a "technical writer". We're hiring someone who thinks of knowledge as a product - one with architecture, users, feedback loops, and a lifecycle. You'll own how our technology is understood: by customers integrating our B2B platform, by engineers documenting their own work, and by internal teams making decisions in a fast-moving R&D environment.

What Youll Be Doing:
Design and maintain the external documentation system: API references, integration guides, onboarding flows, and troubleshooting content - treating it as a living product with real users and measurable outcomes.
Define AI-augmented documentation workflows: where LLMs assist with drafting, where they validate accuracy, and where human judgment is irreplaceable.
Work directly with engineers, PMs, and researchers to extract knowledge: you interview, synthesize, and structure what others know but haven't written down.
Own content quality signals: broken links, outdated docs, low-rated articles, search dead-ends. You set up the loops that catch decay before customers do.
Contribute to the information architecture: taxonomy, versioning strategy, content type standards, and the toolchain that supports them.
Lead content localization efforts, including multilingual adaptations, knowledge base structuring, and format alignment.
Manage the creation and distribution of release notes in collaboration with Product and R&D teams.
Contribute to building and stewarding the internal knowledge base for our own employees: capturing decision logs, architecture notes, research summaries, and runbooks so institutional knowledge doesn't live only in people's heads.
