we need a rare Technical Artist to make every animation in our Flutter app feel alive, not just functional. Dating is broken. Together, we're fixing it. Based in the heart of Tel Aviv, we're a dynamic startup with big dreams and an even bigger mission. We've had a highly successful launch and are gearing up for a massive U.S. expansion. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you won't just be tuning curves and timings; you'll be giving AI matchmaker its sense of touch and rhythm.
What You'll Do:
Choreograph the Motion: Design and build the animation and rendering layer in Flutter/Dart - AnimationController, Tween/Curve, CustomPainter/Canvas, Transform, implicit animations, custom Flow layouts, and tickers - so every interaction feels considered, not default.
Bring Craft to Code: Apply real animation principles - easing, timing, weight, choreography - translating classic animation fundamentals into Flutter-native motion.
Guard the Frame Rate: Profile and optimize animation performance with Flutter DevTools, using RepaintBoundary deliberately to keep motion smooth even on low-end devices.
Build Inside the Architecture: Read and write clean Flutter within existing BLoC/Cubit setup, integrating your animation work against it without needing to redesign it.
Work From Design to Code: Partner closely with design in Figma, translating polished visual intent into production-ready motion.
Requirements: Experienced: Production-shipped animation work in Flutter, with a portfolio or reel that shows it - this one's required, not optional.
An Animation & Rendering Specialist: Deep, hands-on fluency with AnimationController, Tween/Curve, CustomPainter/Canvas, Transform, implicit animations, and tickers, backed by real motion fundamentals - easing, timing, weight, choreography.
Performance-Minded: You know how to profile frames, reach for RepaintBoundary with intent, and keep animation smooth even on low-end hardware.
Figma & Git Fluent: Comfortable moving between design files and code, with clean Git habits.
A Startup Operator: You take extreme ownership, prioritize speed, and navigate ambiguity with ease in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus Points: Fragment/GLSL shaders and the math behind them (trig, interpolation, splines, simple physics), runtime experience bringing Rive, Lottie, Spine, or After Effects work to life, haptic or audio-synced motion, a creative-coding or game background (Processing, openFrameworks, Unity, shaders), experience building reusable animation component libraries or motion tooling, or basic native iOS/Android awareness via platform channels.
This position is open to all candidates.
