The OpenShift Virtualization DevOps team is looking for a Senior Software Quality Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and optimizing our test infrastructure and release processes. In this role, you will ensure the stability and efficiency of our CI/CD pipelines while working closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and monitor test automation workflows. What You Will Do
Manage and maintain the test infrastructure and hardware to ensure seamless operations.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues proactively to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Create and share release plans in alignment with stakeholders.
Coordinate hardware requirements and ensure proper resource allocation.
Collaborate with component teams to review and refine test jobs for relevance across release streams.
Maintain automated test jobs to ensure quality assurance best practices.
Maintain high-quality standards and support the teams CI/CD initiatives.
Requirements: Proven experience in managing test infrastructures and hardware in cloud-based environments.
Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes or Openshift
Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and test management platforms.
Proficiency in coding/scripting and automation tools (Python/Golang is preferred) to build and maintain robust processes.
Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to align and coordinate with component teams to ensure product goals are met.
Proactive problem-solving abilities with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Capacity to meet deadlines and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana is highly desirable.
Familiarity with public cloud providers like Azure, GCP, AWS, Oracle cloud.
