A leading medical imaging company is looking for a Software Department Manager
Role Description
Senior engineering management role leading a multidisciplinary software group developing complex, high performance systems in a medical imaging / advanced systems environment. The position combines people management, architectural leadership, and delivery ownership.
Responsibilities
Manage a software department of approximately 15 engineers, including 2-3 team leads
Provide hands on technical and architectural leadership across Host, Real Time, Reconstruction, and DevOps domains
Own software execution end to end: planning, delivery, quality, and timelines
Lead hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance management
Drive engineering standards, code quality, and continuous improvement
Work closely with R D teams: system engineering, product, hardware and QA
Requirements: BSc in Software Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
10+ years of hands on software development experience
5+ years of engineering management experience
Strong background in software architecture and system level design
High technical credibility and ability to lead senior engineers
Fluent in English and Hebrew
Advantage
Experience in regulated medical device software; multi-disciplinary product development
Background in real time systems, high performance computing, or hardware related software
Reports to: Director of R/ D
