The Role

We're looking for a Principal Cloud Security Researcher to serve as a senior technical leader within our Research team. This is a high-impact individual contributor role -- you won't manage people, but you'll shape the direction of our entire research function, mentor researchers, and act as a force multiplier across the organization.

You'll be the person who takes a vague threat signal and turns it into a detection strategy, a published finding, or a product capability. You'll operate as a trusted deputy to the research team lead, owning the most complex and ambiguous research challenges while raising the technical bar for the team.



What You'll Do

Drive Groundbreaking Research

Own and drive our most critical research initiatives end-to-end - from initial threat hypothesis through detection logic, product integration, and external publication.
Set the technical direction for cloud threat research across AWS, Azure, and GCP, identifying emerging attack surfaces and novel techniques before they become mainstream threats.
Investigate real-world cloud and SaaS security incidents, dissecting attacker tradecraft and extracting insights that evolve our detection capabilities.
Pioneer new forensic investigation techniques and detection methodologies for cloud-native and SaaS environments - pushing the state of the art, not just following it.
Be a Voice in the Community

Represent our company as a thought leader through high-quality research publications, conference presentations (BlackHat, DEF CON, RSA, fwd:cloudsec, and similar venues), and open-source contributions.
Build and maintain our reputation as a research-driven company that advances the field - not just a vendor with a blog.
Engage with the broader security research community, fostering relationships and collaborative knowledge-sharing.
Shape the Product

Bridge research and product - translate threat findings into actionable product requirements, working closely with engineering and product teams to ensure our CDR platform stays ahead of evolving threats.
Design and develop advanced detection algorithms that directly feed into our platform, closing the gap between research insight and customer protection.
Elevate the Team

Act as the team's go-to technical authority. When researchers hit a wall on complex cloud attack chains, IAM edge cases, or detection gaps - you're who they turn to.
Mentor and grow other researchers through research reviews, pair investigations, code reviews, and by setting quality standards and methodology best practices.
Influence technical decisions org-wide - contributing to architecture, tooling, and strategic research priorities.
Step in as the research team lead's deputy when needed - driving prioritization, representing research cross-functionally, and ensuring continuity.

As a Security Researcher, you'll own and evolve the core of the Oak platform: the frameworks and logics that turn fragmented, cross-surface identity data into precise, high-signal insight. You'll work directly with real-world data to find emerging attack patterns, reason about privilege and exposure, and convert what you learn into intelligence that tells customers what's actually risky - and what to do about it.

You will be the only SOC analyst based in Israel, while the rest of the analyst team operates from the Philippines. You will act as the SOCs local anchor - the on-site technical counterpart for the Israel-based Cyber Security, IT, Operations, and R&D teams, and the escalation and knowledge bridge between them and the offshore shifts. The role calls for ownership, independence, and the appetite to build and improve, not only to operate.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and Detection: Continuously monitor SIEM, endpoint protection (EDR), IPS, mail security, CASB, cloud, and identity security solutions to identify potential threats.
Incident Response: Serve as one of the first levels of escalation for security incidents - investigate, contain, and drive resolution before escalating to the senior SecOps members, in accordance with defined procedures and SLAs.
Incident Coordination: Lead coordination of major incidents until ownership is transferred to the relevant SecOps, IT, Operations, or R&D team; ensure clear communication, escalation, and tracking of action items.
Threat Analysis: Analyze logs, network traffic, endpoint telemetry, and native (in-tool) alerts to determine root cause, scope, impact, and remediation steps.
SIEM and Detection Engineering: Own day-to-day operation of the SIEM - data onboarding and ingest pipelines, field mapping and data quality, dashboards and platform health - and write, tune, and maintain detection rules while measuring their effectiveness.
Exclusion and Exception Management: Own the exclusion and exception lifecycle across the security stack: review requests, assess risk, apply scoped, time-bound exclusions, and revalidate them periodically.
Automation and AI-Assisted Operations: Build and maintain automations across the SOC toolchain (enrichment, containment, ticketing, reporting), and design, implement, and validate AI/LLM-based workflows for alert triage, investigation support, and documentation - including guardrails and quality control of AI output.
Investigation Documentation: Create and maintain detailed incident tickets, including investigation audit trail, action items, and timelines.
Technical Leadership: Act as the senior operational reference for the analyst team: help prioritize workload, assure investigation quality, maintain consistent handling of incidents, escalations, and shift handovers, and mentor analysts on tooling and methodology.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Cyber Security team, IT, Operations, and R&D locally, and with the offshore SOC team across time zones.

we are looking for a Senior Cyber Data Analyst.
As a Senior Cyber Data Analyst for the Asset Intelligence Research team, you will conduct research to enhance the asset intelligence platform. You will lead end-to-end research projects, collaborating directly with Product and Development teams to convert technical research into product features. You will analyze large-scale security asset data, automate workflows, and prototype logic to address how enterprise assets are discovered, classified, and trusted. This is a high-impact role where your research directly shapes how our customers manage, prioritize and secure their entire assets inventory.
Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end research projects focusing on asset data quality, fidelity assessment, enrichment, and correlation across device, identity, software, and SaaS asset types.
Utilize Python, SQL, and AI/LLM tools to build data analysis pipelines, automate asset research, and prototype enrichment and classification logic.
Research and define gating conditions that evaluate assets across three dimensions: Existence, classification, and risk and criticality.

In this role, you will have the rare opportunity to identify security problems, understand their root causes, and work directly with the teams responsible for fixing them.
You will strengthen threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and cloud security operations through a combination of investigation, engineering, and automation. You will design and tune detections, lead investigations and response efforts, prioritize and route vulnerabilities and CSPM/CWP findings, improve security telemetry, and build capabilities that reduce manual effort and help the organization respond faster.

As a Senior Product Security Architect, you will join a highly technical, fast-moving Product Security team to advance and secure Axonius's platform and its modern AI-driven capabilities. Operating in an environment with deep R&D collaboration and a hybrid schedule, you will own the development lifecycle's security strategy, ensuring modern cloud and distributed systems are engineered safely by design. This role directly supports core development teams across Israel and Portugal, ensuring robust posture alignment from initial planning through deployment.
Responsibilities
