We are looking for a Senior C / C ++ backend Engineer to join our backend team. In this role, you will work on server side C / C ++ systems used in credit card payment processing in Israel. The work includes development and maintenance of existing production systems, implementation of new backend components, performance and stability improvements, and investigation of production issues. This role is suited for an experienced engineer who is comfortable working with complex long-running codebases, multi-threaded systems, and environments where correctness, availability, and predictable behavior are important.
What youll do:
* Develop and maintain C / C ++ backend components used in payment processing flows.
* Design and implement changes in complex existing systems.
* Improve performance, memory usage, latency, and system stability.
* Investigate production issues, analyze root causes, and implement fixes.
* Participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
* Work closely with infrastructure, operations, and product teams.
Requirements: * 5+ years of experience in C / C ++ backend or server-side development.
* Strong knowledge of C ++, C, memory management, and debugging.
* Hands-on experience with multi-threaded and concurrent systems.
* Experience working in Unix / Linux -like production environments.
* Ability to understand, modify, and improve complex existing codebases.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to correctness, reliability, and edge cases.
* B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
