As a Technical Writer , you will be expected to develop complex technical documents, ensuring that products are used safely and effectively.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, researching, and interviewing. Responsibilities
What will you be doing:
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, product experts, and product and project managers to prepare technical documentation that communicates complex, technical information clearly and concisely, for the intended audience (customers, FSE, engineers, integrators, subcontractors, etc.).
Develop and update the following types of documentation for hardware and software products: User Manuals, Installation Guides, Preventive Maintenance Manuals, Service Manuals, Release Notes, Technical Field Orders, Technical Notes, Customer Notifications, and online help for product lines.
Support all Customer Support TTS (Transfer-to-Service) activities, as well as documentation activities from other Nova departments worldwide.
Work according to predefined styles.
Create relevant graphics for documentation.
Publish document updates to the Nova Technical Knowledge Center.
Requirements: At least 5 years experience in Technical Writing.
Ability to quickly learn and understand new products, features, and advanced technologies.
Excellent English (mother-tongue level), and communication skills.
Technical background (Engineering or SW development) is an advantage.
Spoken Hebrew required. Work includes contact with engineers to clarify content.
Experience with Madcap Flare or similar authoring tools is an advantage.
Experience with publishing and authoring tools such as FrameMaker, Word, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp (or equivalent), and PowerPoint is an advantage.
Experience with Source Control software, such as Microsoft TFS (preferred), Git, or Subversion.
Familiarity with HTML and XML, an advantage.
Experience with Adobe Photoshop (or similar), Adobe Captivate or TechSmith Camtasia, Adobe After Effects, Excel, and Visio, an advantage.
