The infrastructure backend engineer's mission is to help us lead our technological revolution internally and externally by designing and building new infrastructure for our new and existing financial products and large-scale systems.
What youll do
Design, architect, and implement core backend infrastructure used across the company (e.g., service mesh, service discovery, secret management, messaging systems).
Own and drive the technical strategy for infrastructure used by development teams.
Collaborate closely with backend engineers to ensure proper usage of shared infrastructure.
Solve complex challenges related to performance, resilience, security, and scalability.
Partner with DevOps teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready systems.
Build distributed systems and services with a strong focus on scalability and maintainability.
Actively contribute to roadmap execution by collaborating with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders across the company.
Requirements: Who you are
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on experience with C# in production environments (required).
Familiar with the .NET ecosystem, including its tools, libraries, and runtime behaviors.
Deep understanding of RESTful API design and usage.
Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software design patterns.
Experienced in building and maintaining distributed, service-oriented architectures.
Comfortable integrating open-source and off-the-shelf tools (e.g., Consul, Vault, Envoy).
Committed to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, with excellent problem-solving and debugging skills backed by a methodical mindset.
Able to design scalable solutions from scratch and refactor legacy systems effectively.
Strong communicator with the ability to influence and mentor others, while staying self-motivated, persistent, and impact-driven.
Nice to have
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Background in financial technology or other highly regulated industries.
Interest in trading systems and a desire to work closely with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with distributed tracing, observability, and infrastructure security.
