We are looking for a FAST Development Program-Field Applications Engineer.
As a Field Applications Engineer you will:
Act as a technical consultant to solve design challenges with the TI portfolio to become a trusted advisor for your customers
Understand the basics of analog circuitry
op-amps
DC/DC power
data converters
sensing
Build up specific knowledge in your customers applications and relevant TI portfolio to make system level proposals to maximize TIs revenue
Create and understand block diagrams based on your customers applications (examples can be found here: EV charging, Heat Pump, Head-Up Display
Build up relationships to your customers, with focus on the engineering departments at your customers
Leverage market knowledge and data insights to discover business and independently develop creative ways to discover new opportunities.
Your start as a Field Application Engineer (FAE) will be through our FAST development program:
TIs FAST (Field Applications & Sales Training) Development Program is designed to prepare Sales & Applications team members for customer-oriented careers that pair technical skills with business perspectives. The programs goal is to provide hands-on experience in the role of a FAE while offering Training and Mentorship. During the program you will have access to different departments and you will get insights into the long-term development opportunities at TI.
The track includes two rotations:
Rotation 1, Field Sales Office (FSO), in Israel, 6 months: The FSO rotation is centered on learning how to work directly with customers to solve technical challenges, and to ultimately maximize TIs revenue by providing customers with the systems-level solutions that best address their design needs. Among other aspects, the FSO rotation focuses on analyzing technical trade-offs, understanding component selection, and solving design and cost challenges.
Rotation 2, Systems Engineering & Marketing (SEM) in Freising, Germany, 5 months: The SEM rotation provides hands-on experiences that help future FAEs understand how various TI components fit together to provide systems-level solutions for customer designs. This rotation typically focuses on technical product selection, schematic/layout capture, PCB layouts, tear downs, board bring up and validation.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology or related field
Fluent in local language and English, both written and oral communication skills
Basic understanding of semiconductors, electrical systems, schematics and analog components
Knowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)
Be passionate about solving technical challenges and enjoy to have technical conversations with external and internal counterparts

Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with competitive mindset and a result-focus
Excellent communication & presentation skills alongside with ability to work in cross functional teams and building strong relationships internally as well as externally
Time management skills / ability to prioritize among tasks and ability to constantly adapt to a changing environment
