we are looking for a System Engineer to be responsible for a novel product throughout its product life cycle: from the development phase to installation and support at customer sites, as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Theoretical and experimental system engineering to support state-of-the-art new and existing multidisciplinary optical measurement products.
Conduct on-tool and off-tool system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem-solving: tasks include root-cause analysis, mitigation plans, implementing robust system calibration methods, and product transfer to manufacturing.
Performance research of current and future capabilities utilizing theoretical analysis, design of experiments, and data analysis to understand the system performance envelope, and how to adjust and expand it.
Transform customers high-level requirements into concrete technical specifications.
Flights to customers around the world (1-4 times per year)
Day-to-day intensive interfaces with diverse disciplines: physics, optics, algorithms, mechanics, electronics, and software.
Requirements: M.Sc. /PhD in Physics/ Engineering (Electrical, Optics) with at least 1-2 years of experience as a multi-disciplinary system engineer/architect or a closely related field
OR
B.Sc in Electrical Engineering AND 3+ years of experience as a multi-disciplinary system engineer/architect or a closely related field.
MATLAB/Python hands-on experience.
