Required Senior Data-Oriented Backend Engineer
As part of the Audiences team, youll work on highly scalable systems, tackle real-time challenges, and contribute to a platform that directly impacts the success of our customers campaigns.

What youll do
Solve diverse, complex problems at a large scale
Collaborate with Product Managers, data scientists and Software Engineers to deliver innovative, user-facing products.
Independent - cradle to grave, own a feature from scratch to production
Analyze and improve performance, scalability and stability of our products, environments and tools
Continuously learn and evaluate new technologies in the everlasting effort to perfect our products and adapt to the ever-growing scale.

Our products and digital content range from utility applications, habit-tracking mobile apps, and gaming apps, to native advertising ad tech. All our products and content coordinate together to create unique monetization solutions and advanced revenue streams for digital properties. Impact and Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions using JAVA and AWS services.
* Lead and implement advanced infrastructure-related tasks, including setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins, and managing deployments and containerization with AWS ECR and ECS.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
* Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code.
* Conduct software analysis, programming, testing, and debugging.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing software.
* Analyze and study complex system requirements, prepare design documentation.
* Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
* Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.
* Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
* Maintain and enhance unit tests to ensure the various components / microservices quality

What youll do
Architect metadata-aware data platforms that support scalable and observable pipelines
Create and evolve knowledge graphs, schemas, and lineage tracking systems
Drive the teams expertise in data modeling, schema evolution, and privacy-first engineering
Work with high-scale data ETLs and Data Serving layers on AWS and GCP.
Build and maintain data foundations for agentic AI systems.
Design and build advanced solutions to analyze metadata, identify data quality issues, and provide remediation insights.
Collaborate with internal teams across platform, product, and data domains.

Were looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help us evolve and scale our real-time engagement infrastructure. Youll solve high-throughput, low-latency challenges and craft APIs used by some of the largest mobile apps in the world.
What youll do:
Design, develop, and own core features and products related to link engagement and redirection at massive scale
Tackle complex problems in real-time, high-throughput systems using modern cloud-native tooling such as CDNs, WAF, Web Handlers, and Kafka
Lead API design and implementation across systems with a strong focus on security, scale, performance, and reliability
Improve system performance, stability, and observability across the board
Collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers to shape product direction and deliver customer value
Contribute to engineering excellence via code reviews, mentoring, and technical leadership

In this role, you will lead features from inception and analysis, through design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. You will also participate in product-changing architectural choices, take ownership of various components/tools, and continuously expand your skill sets.
