Were looking for a backend engineer to join our growing Engineering team in TLV.

This role will require you to bring features to the finish line while collaborating globally and closely with other developers and stakeholders.

In this role youll:

Help build our products using microservices written in Typescript (using NestJS) and Ruby on Rails running over Kubernetes.

Collaborate closely with US-based Product stakeholders and both in house and remote team members while being a part of a self-sufficient squad to achieve the squads goals.

Be the owner of your domain to ensure code quality, performance, and scalability of our products, including tech design and architecture ownerships.

Leverage our in-house autonomous tools to manage all development flow, from setting up our development environment to creating git branches and deploying services to production.

Requirements:
4+ years experience as a backend engineer.

BSc in Computer Science or Mathematics (or equivalent experience).

Passion for technology.

Broad knowledge of modern backend frameworks, tools, and architecture.

Experience working on high scale, production-grade projects.

Past contributions to open source projects, a plus.

Ability to work in an office environment a minimum of 3 days a week.

We're building something pretty wild here, an insurance company that actually runs itself. While others talk about AI, we're shipping it. Our bots handle claims in seconds, our systems learn from every interaction, and our engineers get to work on problems that didn't exist five years ago.

Were looking for a senior backend engineer in our Tel Aviv office who gets excited about this stuff.

You'll be building the platforms that power everything from instant claims to personalized pricing. Think TypeScript with NestJS, all running on Kubernetes. But the cool part? Our own tools handle the boring stuff (deployments, environments, even git branches) so you can focus on the interesting problems.

What you'll actually do:

Ship features that millions of customers will use.

Work directly with the smartest PMs, Engineers, Designers, and Data Scientists in a zero bureaucracy environment.

Own your domain end-to-end: write it, ship it, monitor it, improve it.

Help other engineers level up.

Requirements:
Passion for agentic coding and GenAI.

6+ years building backend systems that real people depend on.

Experience with bots, AI, or LLMs (bonus if you've shipped something customers actually used).

A history of building things that scalehigh traffic, real money, can't-go-down systems.

CS/Math degree or equivalent experience.

Excited about AI and willing to learn fast.

Available in our Tel Aviv office at least 3 days a week.

As a Senior User Data Engineer in the Demand group in our Tel Aviv office youll play a vital role in developing one of the largest real time big data operations in the world to support over 40TB of new data every day.

How youll make an impact:
As a Senior Software Engineer, youll bring value by:
Design, develop, and address scalability challenges in our user data pipeline and identity graph, ensuring efficient handling of high-throughput, high-performance systems
Have end to end ownership: Design, build, ship, measure and maintain our frontend and backend services
Collaborate with the brightest software engineers team members
Influence directly on the way billions of people discover the internet
Develop at unimaginable scale, serving thousands of requests per second
Work on innovative projects that are the next growth engines for our company
Here are some of the things software developers in our group did in the last several months:
A unique data pipeline for processing and managing user data signals
Driving our companys data advantage by leveraging real-time user signals to uncover intent and boost key business performance metrics
Develop a complete user identities graph and find deterministic and probabilistic methods to enrich it
An algorithmic model to predict the performance potential of a specific audience
Infrastructure to create unique audiences for advertisers based on various signals (behavioral, contextual, etc)
An A/B tests system to explore variations and experiments over audiences
Understand and use big data algorithms to estimate key business metrics over billions of impressions
Build user interface using React that serve thousands of users.

Requirements:
6+ years of experience in object oriented programming and infrastructure development
BSc in computer science or equivalent (please include GPA)
Strong end-to-end ownership mindset
Proven experience and strong understanding of big data systems, including hands-on work with a variety of database technologies
Proven experience as a tech leader, including mentoring and guiding of others
Production systems experience
Product driven and business oriented
Strong analytical skills
Fearlessness to dive into what you dont know
Passion for solving complex scaling challenge
Willing to work intensively to gain fast results in an unknown field
High self-learning abilities
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
Bonus points if you have:
Experienced developing large scale distributed systems, Experienced with Web/JS, Experienced with Kafka / Docker / K8S, Experienced with NoSQL and big data distributed DB (Vertica / Cassandra / ES / BQ) Experienced with Spark / HDFS.
