As a Principal Software Engineer will:
Lead the technical direction and architecture of business-critical initiatives across Microsoft Security.
Drive the design of large-scale, resilient, and secure distributed systems that serve millions of users.
Contribute to business-critical initiatives in Microsoft Security
Will improve the end-to-end lifecycle of services
Analyze complex system behaviour, and apply modern engineering practices to streamline deployments and reduce costs.
Tackle highly ambiguous, complex problems that span multiple domains, and turn them into clear technical plans and execution paths.
Improve the end-to-end service lifecycle, including reliability, scalability, security, operational excellence, and cost efficiency.
Your role involves working on high-end technologies and collaborating across disciplines to deliver impactful features.
Partner closely with engineering, program managers, and security experts to drive impactful outcomes for Microsoft Security customers.
Requirements: Qualifications

You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
You have 12+ years of professional hands-on software development experience, primarily focused on developing and designing backend services in cloud or on-premises environments.
Other:
Deep experience with Kubernetes, containers, and modern cloud-native architectures.
You have experience taking initiative, map product/feature requirements, dependencies, and deliverables.
Experience with large-scale data systems and databases (SQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Redis, Azure Data Explorer).
Experience owning systems that include both cloud services and client components.
Background in cybersecurity, cloud security, or security-focused platforms.
Experience designing and operating services with high reliability, observability, and operational maturity.
Demonstrate success dealing with ambiguous unsolved problems; and the ability to independently make solid progress by breaking new ground.
