We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Writer to join the Research and Development Content team, primarily supporting our cloud security product portfolio. This position requires someone who is self-motivated, has strong leadership instincts, and can translate complex cloud security concepts into clear, accessible documentation for a technical audience. The ability to work effectively with remote and cross-functional teams is essential.
Your Opportunity:
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and technical learning by establishing scalable documentation methodologies and mentoring peers on emerging industry trends.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders (e.g., developers, product managers, customer support) to gather and translate complex technical information into clear, customer-facing documentation.
Plan and manage documentation projects, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
Take end-to-end responsibility for specific cloud security domains by identifying feature changes and independently validating workflows in dev/staging environments.
Write, edit, and review technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Develop and enforce documentation standards and style guides across the organization.
Analyze documentation engagement metrics and stakeholder feedback to identify friction points, driving iterative improvements that enhance end-user content.
Manage documentation releases for high-frequency, weekly product releases, in accordance with the SDLC, and communicate updates to internal and external audiences.
Stay current on industry trends and best practices, including AI-assisted documentation tools and workflows.
Requirements: What You'll Need:
5+ years of technical writing experience, with demonstrated leadership or mentorship responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
A team-player mindset with the ability to pivot quickly as product priorities shift and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
An inquisitive nature and fearless curiosity to explore technical features hands-on, asking the deep questions required to simplify complex security concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a passion for meticulous grammar, formatting, and clarity.
Experience following a style guide, especially the Microsoft Manual of Style.
Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
Experience with source control (especially Git) and content management systems.
Experience with AI writing assistants or LLMs, including incorporating them into documentation workflows (e.g., prompt engineering, automated doc generation) and critically evaluating AI-generated content).
And Ideally:
Experience with GraphQL/Swagger/OpenAPI or writing best practices documentation.
Experience with the Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket) and/or MadCap Flare.
Knowledge of information security and cloud infrastructure security.
Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or Python.
