We are seeking a highly motivated Image Quality Engineer to join our VPU system team. You will be responsible for evaluating and improving camera image quality across AI ISP and vision pipelines, with a strong focus on real-world customer scenarios. The role combines hands-on lab work with IQ measurement tools, together with close collaboration with our ISP, algorithm, and customer-facing teams to deliver excellent image quality from internal demos through customer evaluations and product integrations.
Responsibilities:
Analyze image quality metrics (Sharpness, Noise, Color accuracy, Exposure, Dynamic range & Motion blur)
Collaborate with software and algorithm teams to tune image signal processing (ISP) parameters for optimal performance.
Provide image quality support for customer demos and evaluations, working directly with customers to resolve IQ issues.
Provide feedback and recommendations to improve camera performance across different lighting and scene conditions.
Document test procedures, results, and tuning iterations.
Operate and maintain IQ lab setups, including lighting environments, test charts, and measurement tools.
Requirements: Bachelors or masters degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field.
5 years of experience with camera systems, image processing, or optics.
Hands-on experience with ISP tuning and image quality evaluation tools.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently in a lab environment and collaborate across teams.
Advantages
Familiarity with DXOMARK testing protocols or similar standards.
Experience with GStreamer, OpenCV, or similar image processing frameworks.
Knowledge of color science, sensor behavior, and optical systems.
Programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or C++) for automation and analysis.
