Responsibilities
Provide accurate and timely legal services to business partners on international privacy risks and requirements to include privacy and data protection, data security, marketing, advertising, and data analytics, international data transfers, new product development and privacy by design, and compliance
Oversee the creation, implementation, and modification of global privacy policies and procedures
Review, draft, and negotiate privacy-related agreements, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including the legal teams worldwide, compliance, IT, security, internal audit and business teams, to implement privacy by design principles.
Work on special projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
Analyze privacy issues impacting the business, conduct privacy impact assessments, evaluate options and recommend mitigating actions
Stay up-to-date on developments in privacy law and provide training and education to internal teams as needed.
Serve as a subject matter expert on privacy-related inquiries and incidents, and coordinate responses as necessary.
Assist with privacy-related investigations, audits, and compliance reviews.
Work closely with external counsel and consultants as needed.
Requirements: At least 5 years of relevant experience as an in-house counsel (preferably in the gaming industry), or the same experience from a prominent law firm.
A Law Degree from an accredited institution required.
Advanced working knowledge of international privacy law, including GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, Israeli privacy law, online behavioral advertising principles, and breach notification laws
Comfort and familiarity with existing and emerging technology, including marketing, targeted advertising, and data analytics
Ability to work autonomously as well as cross-functionally with other teams and to influence and build effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
Ability to manage competing priorities, simultaneously drive numerous projects, identify, and resolve business issues, and earn the confidence of executive business partners
Excellent interpersonal, communication, drafting and negotiation skills
Exceptional business judgment and analytical skills
Experience in the gaming industry is preferred
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced, metric-driven environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities
