This role is responsible for overseeing the management, planning, and coordination of materials used in service operations, ensuring the availability and efficient delivery of spare parts and components. It involves managing a team of service material planners, working closely with procurement, inventory control, warehouse, production, finance and service departments to meet service level targets while optimizing inventory and minimizing costs.

What you will be doing
Lead and manage the Service Material planning team, including material coordinators and logistics personnel.
Monitor team performance through KPI's and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
Oversee the availability of service materials and spare parts to ensure timely repairs and maintenance. Develop and implement inventory control strategies to reduce costs and improve repair CT.
Develop material planning and forecasting models based on service demand, historical data, and failure trends.
Work closely with service engineers and operations teams to anticipate material needs.
Serve as a liaison between the service department, procurement, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Provide regular reporting on material availability, stock levels, and service performance to management. Address and resolve material-related issues or delays that may impact service timelines.
Requirements: Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering and management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in materials management or logistics, preferably in a service-oriented industry.
Proven experience leading and managing a team.
In-depth understanding of inventory management and supply chain processes.
Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems. (e.g., Priority, Oracle).
Knowledge of material handling, warehousing, and logistics operations.
