We are looking for a talented QA Engineer to ensure product quality in a fast-growing company.
You will be working on exciting computer vision and video features in a large scalable SaaS for enterprise customers.
The work involves full stack testing of products and platforms based on a variety of technologies: React, NodeJS, WebRTC, AWS and internal AR and AI implementations.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases with a special focus on backend features, ensuring thorough coverage of all backend functionalities.
Take primary responsibility for querying data, testing backend data changes, and ensuring data integrity and performance.
Lead in identifying, documenting, and troubleshooting backend errors, providing detailed analysis and potential solutions.
Actively collaborate with Development, Product, and other teams to clarify specifications, raise issues/concerns, and identify risks during the software development life cycle. Ensure clear communication regarding backend complexities and dependencies.
Be an integral part of a scrum team, working closely with developers, DevOps, and Product teams. Lead the QA effort in sprint planning and retrospectives, with a focus on backend aspects.
Develop, apply, and maintain manual and automation scripts for new and existing products, with an emphasis on enhancing backend test automation.
Continuously update and improve testing methodologies, tools, and processes, with a particular focus on backend technologies and practices.
Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, with a demonstrated specialization in backend testing.
Advanced knowledge of backend testing methodologies, including API, server-side, load, and security testing.
knowledge in scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript. Familiarity with automation testing tools (e.g., Postman, JMeter, )
Familiarity with database queries, especially in NoSQL databases.
Experience in manual testing and front-end testing to ensure comprehensive coverage across all application layers.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of documenting and explaining complex test cases and results.
Excellent interpersonal abilities with a proven track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
Strong analytical skills with a history of identifying and resolving complex backend issues, including providing case studies or examples from previous roles.
A keen interest in staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in backend development and QA practices.
