Responsibilities:
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be the backbone of our infrastructure, ensuring that our cloud environment is scalable, secure, and developer-friendly. You will:
Serve as a core contributor to our central AWS CDK (TypeScript) project, ensuring every cloud resource-from S3 buckets to complex networking rules-is defined as code.
Act as a consultant for R&D and platform teams, helping microservice owners deploy new services and spin up sandbox environments while maintaining security standards.
Take end-to-end ownership of high-impact infrastructure shifts, including playing a key role in the transition from ECS Fargate to EKS.
Manage the lifecycle and maintenance of critical infrastructure components, such as security/observability agents and hosted open-source solutions.
Collaborate with our Boston-based teams on shared global projects to ensure architectural alignment and cross-region infrastructure support.
Balance long-term project work with active participation in internal help channels, troubleshooting real-time issues and resolving conflicts in central tools.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Video/Multimedia Architecture & Algorithms (A&A) team - the people who build tomorrows NVENC and NVDEC, the dedicated video encode and decode engines that power streaming, cloud gaming, video conferencing and broadcast on every modern GPU. You will lead the infrastructure and operations for this groups work. This includes setting up compute resources on-premises and in the cloud. You will develop distributed pipelines for large-scale regressions and experiments across hardware simulations and machine learning workloads. You will maintain the CI/CD and development environments. You will also transform one-off research workflows into reliable, repeatable, automated systems.
This is a hybrid role - 4 days per week from the office.
What You'll Be Doing
Work closely with our Architects and Algorithms Engineers to understand the needs and transform one-off research workflows into dependable, consistent, automated systems
Stand up and operate the compute the group runs on - on-prem GPU clusters, cloud bursts, queues, schedulers (Slurm / Kubernetes), container images, environments
Develop and build decentralized workflows for extensive regression testing and experiments across HW-simulations and ML workloads - and the dashboards that make sense of the results
Lead the teams CI/CD plus the dev environments, container images and tooling everyone in the group lives in every day.

Platform Engineering & Automation:
Internal Developer Platform (IDP): Build and maintain our developer portal, creating a unified "single pane of glass" for service catalogs, self-service actions, and scorecards.
K8s Core: Design, implement, and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters with a focus on multi-tenancy, security, and high availability.
GitOps Mastery: Implement and manage automated deployment workflows using GitOps principles (ArgoCD or Flux).
Self-Service APIs: Create abstractions (using tools like Crossplane or custom CLI tools) to simplify cloud resource provisioning and integrate them directly into our IDP.
Developer Experience (DevEx):
Workflow Optimization: Analyze the developer's "inner and outer loops" to identify friction points and automate them away via the IDP.
Standardization: Create Helm charts, CI/CD templates, and "Gold Path" configurations that embody our best practices for security and observability.
Technical Mentorship: Act as a subject matter expert for R&D teams, providing guidance on containerization, microservices architecture, and cloud-native patterns.
Operational Excellence:
Observability: Build comprehensive monitoring and logging stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry) and surface these metrics within our IDP to give developers deep insights.
Security & Compliance: Implement automated policy enforcement (OPA/Kyverno) and ensure all platform components adhere to Identity Security standards.
Infrastructure as Code: Maintain 100% of the platform via IaC tools like Terraform/Pulumi/OpenTofu etc.
