The Commercial Marketplace Experience (CMX) team is responsible for Azure Marketplace, targeting developers and IT professionals, as well as our AppSource, for business applications. Marketplace is the business engine that enables customers to seamlessly discover, try and buy every cloud solution that matters. Working with a network of thousands of partners around the world, hundreds of thousands of listings such as cloud building blocks, software products, and industry solutions. The Cloud Marketplace is driving our business across Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics 365.

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our development team. This team is responsible for the backend and frontend development of our commercial marketplace.

Responsibilities:
Be accountable for major development efforts.

You will create and document software which may involve significant re-architecture of existing systems, defining, and coordinating implementation with wide-reaching implications for company-wide portfolio synergies. You will be the technical lead of projects that span multiple areas of a product.

This role requires processing and manipulating a high throughput of events, providing a near-real-time experience.

Design and develop highly scalable services while engaging in all SDLC tasks, including planning, analysis, testing, performance, and production releases.
Use cutting-edge technology and designs to tackle complex software system problems.
Work on maintaining and improving our key pipeline services to ensure they are fast, scalable, flexible, and reliable, using technologies like Scala, Akka, Java, Nodejs, MongoDB, and Kafka.
Participate in ongoing tech stack-related discussions and upgrade initiatives
Set an example of high standards for design reviews within the team and the R&D.
